AGILITY

Agility is a fast and energetic sport.  It's also lots of fun for both you and your dog.

For your dog to take part it must be at least 12 months old - dogs under the age of 18 months will be learning on low-level jumps and equipment.

It is necessary for your dog to have a basic level of obedience and be able to demonstrate a sit and/or down on command, and be able to wait for a reasonable length of time.  They should also have a good recall and be responsive to their handlers.

Don't forget your running shoes!!

FLYBALL

If you have ever seen flyball demonstrated you will know that dogs love it!!

Our Friday evening flyball is for fun only (non-competitive), and is suitable for dogs of any breed or size.  For your dog to take part it must be at least 12 months old.  It is necessary for your dog to have a basic level of obedience and be able to demonstrate a sit and/or down on command, and be able to wait for a reasonable length of time.  They should also have a good recall and be responsive to their handlers.

Competitive flyball is a team sport.  Two teams of dogs race against each other in parallel lines over a series of jumps. The dogs race to the end of the jumps to a spring pad that releases a ball, they then race back over the jumps to the start and the next dog takes over.  The first to have all the dogs in their team finish the course are the winners.

Excellent fun and exercise, guaranteed to wear out even the most energetic of dogs.
